LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- As bar patrons in Louisville get geared up for a week-long party next week before the Kentucky Derby, a company is giving away 2,000 vouchers for taxi rides.
Early Times Mint Julep and Yellow Cab have teamed up for the effort, intended to keep drunken drivers off the road from April 29 to the Derby on May 4.
Each voucher will be worth $15.
The vouchers will be given out at several bars in Louisville next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to patrons who make a personal pledge to drink responsibly by putting their signature on a taxi cab.
The vouchers can be used with Yellow Cab, Checker Cab and Cardinal Cab, but they expire midnight on May 5.
