New Bethel Baptist Church on Church St. has been apart of the Bowling Green Community since 1847.
Now, people close with the church are saying, the church, along with the building down the street from it, that usually generates income, are both falling to the ground.
Dr. Rev. J. Jackson has been the church's several decades, and the church has been apart of the Bowling Green African-American community for even longer.
Contractor, David Thomas D&D Concrete & Construction in Glasgow, is looking to donate his services to refurbish the income property to help the church gain money.
Thomas says he's looking to help the buildings that are apart of Bowling Green's history.
The Bowling Green Building and Code Enforcement is wanting to help by bring both buildings up to code.
We'll have more with this story tonight at 6.
