MAY'S LICK, Ky. (AP) — A deputy coroner says a northern Kentucky man died of heat exhaustion after wandering away from his home.
WLEX-TV in Lexington reports that 78-year-old Roy Allen Bishop was found dead at about 9 p.m. Tuesday — roughly 12 hours after he was last seen at his home near Maysville.
Bishop was an Alzheimer's patient. His disappearance set off a Golden Alert and prompted an aerial and ground search for Bishop.
May's Lick Mill Manager Ron Lawrence told The Ledger Independent that Bishop was a lifelong tobacco farmer and well known in the community.
