Corvette Museum has Plan of Action to Remove Corvettes

BOWLING GREEN, Ky (WBKO) -- The National Corvette Museum has released a plan to start removing corvettes from the sinkhole.

A large sinkhole collapsed two weeks ago, swallowing eight corvettes. Museum officials say, shallow test borings were completed this week, showing no immediate danger of another sinkhole in the remaining floor space.

The 2009 ZR1 "Blue Devil" will be the first car removed. There could be complications removing the 1962 Black Corvette, due to a five ton concrete slab resting against the front of the car.

Scott, Murphy and Daniel Construction says, "a special operation such as this cannot be on an exact planned schedule."

Three cars will be removed Monday, March 3, 2014.
