BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Corvette owners around the country are doing their best to stay up to date with the recovery of the cars.
Joe Pruitt hosts the Corvette Homecoming every year where drivers come to Bowling Green from all over the country to celebrate the car. So naturally, when those people first heard of the cave-in and restoration plans, Joe's phone started ringing off the hook.
"I know this is one big family. It's sort of like certain basketball teams. If you cut somebody they bleed a certain color. It's sort of like the same way with the Corvette community. It's a big family," said Pruitt.
Pruitt said he's received calls from Tennessee, Alabama, and Kansas just to name a few. He said everyone is asking how they can help in anyway and they admit they'll be watching the efforts to remove the cars very closely.
