Court of Appeals to Hear Atmos Energy, Edmonson County Case at WKU

A three judge panel composed of Court of Appeals judges will hear the appeal and cross-appeal of Edmonson County and Atmos Energy today at WKU.

The jury verdict from the Dec. 2010 case ordered Atmos Energy to pay $31 million to a group of landowners and investors in royalty payments. That trial took five weeks. It was the largest settlement ever awarded in Edmonson County.

The proceedings are open to the public.
