BOWLING GREEN, KY -- Police say on Monday, April 22, they responded to a burglar alarm at Miller's Bottled Gas on Campbell Lane.
While investigating the burglary, they found evidence indicating Regal Theater had also been burglarized. Police believe both businesses had been burglarized by the same person.
Then on Sunday, May 12, police received an alarm from the Whiskey River Pub on Old Louisville Road near the walking bridge.
Video surveillance shows a masked man using spray foam to disable an alarm speaker and cover a camera. After entering the business, he removed the alarm system from the wall with a pry bar. But neither action stopped the alarm from working and alerting police. The thief ran from the scene due to the noise from the alarm.
Police say the man used a crowbar to open the business doors, and a saw to open a safe in one of the businesses. Police know money was stolen from two of the businesses, but the burglar did not get anything from the other business.
