Crime Stoppers: Counterfeit $100 Bill

By Gene Birk |

Bowling Green Police say on Thursday, June 20th, a man gave a fake $100.00 bill to a clerk of the Shell IGA in the 2000 block of Russellville Road.

Employees of the Shell station told police they were preparing a deposit, when they noticed a $100.00 bill that had a different feel than a normal bill. After examining the bill, it was found to be slightly smaller than a normal bill as well.

Video surveillance shows a stocky Hispanic male wearing a blue #12 Kentucky shirt, giving the clerk the fake bill. He left the store in a tan two-door car with spoked rims. Police are not certain this man knew the bill was fake, but would like to identify him.
