At 2:41 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18, Bowling Green Police received a call that Hancock Bank and Trust, on Crossing Boulevard, was being robbed.
Witnesses told police a man with a white mask entered the bank, presented a gun, and demanded money. After taking an undisclosed amount of money the robber fled to a waiting car. Police located the white Suzuki Verona a few blocks away, running and unoccupied. It was quickly determined the vehicle had been reported stolen earlier in the day.
The man was wearing a black ball cap, black sun glasses, a white mask covering his entire head, a black sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black and white Reebok shoes. One identifiable characteristic for the man, he has a long ponytail. It is not known if the man is American or of foreign descent.
