Franklin police say just after 9:15 Saturday night on July 21st employees were leaving the Dollar Tree at 1455 Nashville Road.
One employee was sitting in her vehicle as another was walking to her car. The employee in the car saw a man run by and attack the other employee. The suspect displayed a weapon and demanded money. When the employee gave him the money, he hit her in the head with the gun.
The man is described as a stocky black male, 5-feet 6-inches tall, weighing 200 to 220 pounds with a deep voice.
He was dressed in all black and carried a black handgun.
