Police say around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, an employee of Hobdy, Dye and Read, was passing by the business and saw a pickup and trailer backed up to the front gate.
The employee saw a man dragging something to the trailer. By the time the employee could turn around the truck and trailer were gone.
It was quickly realized a Kubota Z300 zero-turn lawn mower was missing.
The truck is described as a 1995-1996 green and gray extended cab Chevrolet 1500 pickup, towing an enclosed white trailer.
Employees believe the man may have stolen tools from the business' utility truck as well.
