Customers Pick Up Corvettes After Being On Display

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Owning a Corvette is the "American dream" for many, but very few get the total experience.

One couple from Memphis was able to get the full Corvette treatment at the National Corvette Museum Tuesday morning, by picking up their brand new Stingray. The transaction was especially unique because the car had been on display in the museum before Ray Parks and his wife arrived in Bowling Green.

"I bought it at a dealer in Memphis. You have an option of picking it up at the factory or at the museum. They take you through a tour of the plant, plus you get to see the museum. It's well worth the money." said Parks.

Ray and his wife flew into the area a few days ago. First thing Tuesday morning they packed the Corvette full of their belongings and drove the car right out of the museum and all the way home.
