A family in Clinton County is outraged, after they find inappropriate messages on their 12-year-old daughter's Facebook.
The messages were between her and a 37-year-old Christopher Braswell.
"I see this all the time on T.V., but it's hitting me at home, it's hitting my heart," says her father Eric Smith.
Smith says he checks his daughter's Facebook just about every month, but this month he saw something he couldn't believe.
"My kids know not to accept anyone they don't know, but my little girl went ahead and accepted this guy she don't know," he says.
That guy is 37-year-old Christopher Braswell, who is now in the Casey County jail under a 20,000 dollar bond.
"He even calls her a little girl. Then even after she tells him I'm 13 he gets sexually graphic with her," says Smith, "What he'd like to do to her, do you know how to do this, do you know how to do that? Seven different times he says "jeeze, you need a phone," then he leaves his phone number. If that ain't telling me I want to meet you, I don't know what does."
The girl who will remain unnamed for her safety, told Braswell she was 13 , according to the messages, he tells her he's only 19.
"Then when I read it, I snapped, and told him you're talking to her dad I'll be seeing you soon," says Smith.
Smith and his wife Trish say Braswell is friends on Facebook with several young girls.
"Their parents need to be looking. We called the parents that we knew to call and when they looked he tried texting them and they're under the age of 13," says Smith.
Now looking back Smith wishes he never let his daughter on Facebook.
"He didn't have to touch her to hurt her, he has hurt her up here, he has taken her innocence already," he says.
The Smith's say this has scarred the entire family .
Braswell is charged as a sex offender and with prohibiting use of electronic communication to procure a minor.
