LONDON, Ky. (AP) — Serco Inc. says it will open a data processing center in Laurel County, bringing more than 600 jobs to the area.
Charles Pennington, who is executive director of the London-Laurel County Industrial Development Authority, told WKYT-TV that the community is "honored and pleased" by the company's decision to locate there.
He says the jobs will benefit residents in Laurel and surrounding counties. He says people in the area will "drive 50 miles one way for a job."
