BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Tuesday volunteers cleaned up at the Salvation Army. Employees from Fruit of the Loom spent the morning painting near the office, while others were put to work in the kitchen providing some much appreciated scrubbing.
"It's a need in the community that a lot of people don't realize. We're blessed to serve our own meals but there's a lot of people in the community that aren't able to do that. It's really rewarding to help the Salvation Army out," said Ginny Arterburn.
The kitchen was left sparkling clean once the volunteers were done, which is important in helping the Salvation Army serve food to literally hundreds of people everyday.
