Day of Caring: Boys & Girls Club of Glasgow

BARREN COUNTY, Ky. (WBKO) -- Volunteers got in touch with their inner child Wednesday morning.

They played games and read with children at the Boys & Girls Club.

While the kids were having fun, the volunteers from Christian Family Radio and BB&T were too.

It's a special day for those involved for many reasons, but the children especially get excited as the day approaches each year.

"It's a day that they actually get individual attention, so they're getting to play games, read with the volunteers -- things that they deserve but can't give them on a daily basis, all the time. They really love it," said Kelly Lile-Jenkins, with the Boys & Girls Club of Glasgow.

The Boys & Girls Club usually has about 150 kids there on a daily basis as part of groups, so they really enjoyed the the individual attention during the Day of Caring.
