For one United Way Day of Caring project in Glasgow, it's been more like a week of caring.
"Today is our fifth day in working on this project. We've painted officers, foyers, down the hallways, and our currently in the process of putting up vertical blinds," said Debbie Livingston, volunteer from BB&T bank.
They're still not finished, but that doesn't stop the drive in these volunteers.
BB&T volunteers are renovating the Barren River Area Safe Space office in Glasgow.
"BB&T is a company that believes in giving back to our community in the places we have our locations, our families, and our branches. It's just one way we can give back to the community by the help of our employees," said Livingston.
Having a good environment at BRASS is something employees say is important because they work with victims of domestic violence.
"The office is remodeled through the entire place, and they've put in new blinds. They've really made a nice uplifting change to the office which we've needed for a very long time," said Ryan Braber of BRASS.
This project though earned a top honor, because it was selected as the best project in barren county for continued involvement and work from the volunteers.
Volunteers say they should have the project completely finished in a few days.
