Today's Day of Caring gave some a chance to learn some auto maintenance skills.
A couple of groups including CEDARS set up at Holy Spirit Catholic Church to help non-native English speaking people learn basic auto maintenance.
These included learning about when to replace tires, oil, anti-freeze and more.
"I think as Americans we take automobiles for granted and the care of them for granted because we've grown up with them. Another huge element to this day is community integration," said Organizer Jennifer Bell.
The event was open to the public, and had several volunteers on hand to help teach about basic car maintenance.
