Day of Caring: Franklin Simpson Nursing Rehabilitation Center

"This is very very unique and I think it's very important that we do make these partnerships because the main goal is to make sure our community is taken care of and it just goes to show how great we all work together," said Brittany Zieman, Admissions & Marketing Coordinator.

SIMPSON COUNTY, Ky (WBKO) -- Simpson County took part in Day of Caring, as volunteers rallied together at the Franklin Simpson Nursing Rehabilitation Center.
Volunteers of all ages went room to room, spending time with residents.
From painting finger nails, to playing board games, the elderly were entertained by the abundance of attention given to them throughout the day.
A local clown even volunteered his skills, creating balloon animals and laughter for those who needed it most.
"This is very very unique and I think it's very important that we do make these partnerships because the main goal is to make sure our community is taken care of and it just goes to show how great we all work together," said Brittany Zieman, Admissions & Marketing Coordinator.
Throughout the day, residents flooded the hallways, eager to spend time with the volunteers.
