PADUCAH, Ky. (AP) — McCracken County deputies are investigating how a car ran over and injured a toddler outside of an auction.
WPSD-TV in Paducah reported that the 2-year-old became trapped under the front tire of Tina Tripp's car Saturday morning. The Tina Tripp, Michael Tripp and their three children were part of a group gathered for an auction.
Deputies say Tina Tripp was backing out of the driveway when her child, Daniel, became trapped underneath her front tire.
Tina Tripp was taken to Lourdes Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries and later released. Daniel was airlifted to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
The investigation is continuing and no charges were filed as of Saturday afternoon.
