Detective Said Interview Made the Case in Deaths

The lead investigator in the case of a young Hendersonville, Tennessee woman, convicted of killing her newborn twins, says making the case came down to the interview.

Hendersonville Police Detective Steve Malach told WKRN-TV the investigation scene at the home of Lindsey Lowe's family didn't tell police much about whether a crime had been committed.

Malach said it was during his interview with the 26-year-old Lowe that he concluded the deaths of the newborns were a homicide case.

The detective called the case a tragedy that happened to a good family and said these are cases investigators hope they never have to do again.

A jury convicted Lowe March 19 on two counts of felony murder, premeditated murder and aggravated child abuse. She was sentenced to life in prison.
