PADUCAH, Ky. (AP) -- A judge has bound the case of a western Kentucky man charged with murder after police found him with a body in a shopping cart over to a grand jury.
The Paducah Sun (http://bit.ly/LkxYv6 ) says Paducah police detective Justin Crowell gave details of the investigation into the killing of 25-year-old Adam Bullock during a preliminary hearing on Tuesday.
Crowell testified that that police charged 36-year-old Michael C. Russian on Sunday after he was found wheeling Bullock's body, which was wrapped in a rug, toward a floodwall.
Crowell said the investigation show that Russian hit Bullock several times in the head with a 10-pound dumbbell and then strangled him.
Police say an argument over Russian's girlfriend precipitated the killing.
