Customers At Mariah's Support United Way By Just Ordering

Updated: Tue 6:10 PM, Sep 25, 2012

Tuesday was a different kind of dining experience at Mariah's in Bowling Green. You could help a local non-profit by just buying your favorite plate of food.

A portion of the days sales, from each meal, was donated to the United Way of Southern Kentucky.

There was a larger volume of customers for the lunch crowd, and many orders were coming in over the phone and online.

Management says it is important to set time aside to help the local non-profits across our area.

"Oh it's great. It helps entire communities and really does a lot of things for a lot of different areas. We do fundraising nights here as well as Buck Head Cafe for different organizations," says General Manager Jodi Fleming.
