MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Authorities in Memphis are searching for a suspect in the stabbing of a doctor at the Memphis VA Medical Center.
Memphis police spokeswoman Karen Rudolph said officers went to the hospital on Tuesday morning after receiving a call that a doctor was stabbed by a patient.
Police said the doctor is stable and being treated at the hospital for undisclosed injuries.
The stabbing suspect fled the hospital and has not been arrested.
The circumstances that led to the stabbing were not immediately released. Police are investigating.
