INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- State police say a driver was fatally injured when he lost control of his pickup truck on an Indianapolis highway soon after driving away from another crash.
Police say 29-year-old Allan Jackson of Indianapolis struck a vehicle Monday night on Interstate 65 in downtown Indianapolis, causing it to spin and hit a third vehicle. Witnesses told police the pickup then drove off at a high speed and went out of control on a curve for the highway's southbound lanes.
Police say the truck went over an embankment and rolled several times before ending up on I-65's northbound lanes. Jackson suffered serious head injuries and died at Wishard Hospital.
Police say he was driving with a suspended license. No one else was injured.
