EF-2 Tornado Confirmed in Smiths Grove

The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-2 tornado tore through Smiths Grove early Wednesday morning.

An NWS survey team is currently investigating the damage along with local emergency management and media members.

The NWS says the track of this tornado likely extends farther northeast outside of Warren County, and details will be forthcoming as the survey team continues the investigation today and possibly again tomorrow.

An EF-2 tornado is categorized as having wind speeds of 120-125 mph.
