East Logan Water District Gets Statewide Award
The East Logan Water District was one of ten statewide water distributor's honored at this year's Kentucky Rural Water Association's Annual Conference.
They were presented with the Wooden Bucket Award.
The award is based on overall management, financial status and public relations with the community.
This is the third time the East Logan Water District has been nominated, but it's their first win.
Chairman Bill Stokes says he owes the appreciation to his staff.
"Working together and the management and the management doing their job, us giving them the proper equipment to do their job, it just means everything to us. We were very, very happy to walk away with this," Stokes says.
He says he would like to thank the Kentucky Rural Water Association for their help and work.
