Eddyville Firefighter Struck by Tree Branch

Troopers say the branch fell on Randy Reed's head as he fought the blaze.

EDDYVILLE, KY (AP) -- A western Kentucky firefighter is recovering from a neck injury and burns to the left side of his body, after a tree branch fell on him during a house fire.

Kentucky State Police say Eddyville firefighter Randy Reed was in Deaconess Hospital Thursday. Troopers say the branch fell on Reed's head as he fought the blaze.

Troopers arrested two juveniles. One was charged with arson, while the other was charged with complicity to arson. Both juveniles were released into their parents' custody.
