BOWLING GREEN, Ky (WBKO) -- Despite the rainy weather today, Volunteers at Cram the Cruiser were eager to accept donations.
Kentucky State Police, Edmonson County Sheriff's Department and Brownsville City Police, along with volunteers, camped out at the Minit Mart and Family Dollar in Edmonson County.
The community all pitched in, dropping off school supplies and money that will benefit students in Edmonson County Schools.
"These school supplies and the money that we're getting today will go to the Stuff the Bus, with Commonwealth Broadcasting. In Bowling Green. they will get matched, dollar for dollar or supply for supply. Any of the monetary donations today, they use a coupon group in Bowling Green to help stretch those dollars even further so there are going to be a lot of school supplies coming back to Edmonson County," said Michael Meredith, State Representative.
After an eight hour day, Cram the Cruiser received nearly $1000 in cash donations, along with a cruiser jammed full of school supplies!
