Embry Won't Have to Fight Incumbent For Seat

MORGANTOWN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Rep. C.B. Embry R-Morgantown announced Friday, he won't have to face an incumbent in his challenge for the state senate.

This is the race for the sixth district in the state senate.

The office has been held by Sen. Jerry Rhoads D-Madisonville since 2003.

On his facebook page, Embry said he found out Rhoads will not run for re-election.

Embry has served in the state house of representatives since 2003.

The district he is running in, is made up of Butler, Ohio, Muhlenberg and Hopkins counties.
