Emergency Management Adds Up Cost Of Storm

They were out early Wednesday morning, and all the way into the night; Visiting homes and businesses that were in the path of the tornado or other high wind bursts. However, the level of government aid those places could receive relies on more than just the damage in Warren County.

"What we have to do is a local declaration. We have to meet a certain threshold of uninsured and under-insured damages. With that being said, the state also has to meet a certain threshold as well. If the state doesn't meet their threshold, then there's no FEMA assistance for anybody." said Brian Geringswald of Warren County Emergency Management.

The current estimate of the damage's total cost, is more than five hundred thousand dollars but emergency management says residents are continuing to report more damage, so that price tag may go up.
