NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Emma and William were the most popular baby names in Tennessee for 2013.
According to the state Health Department, Emma has taken the top spot for three consecutive years, and William has been number one for the past seven years.
The other top names for girls last year, in order of popularity, were Ava, Sophia, Olivia, Abigail, Isabella, Madison, Elizabeth, Emily and Addison. All of those names were also in the top 10 last year except for Elizabeth, which replaced Chloe as the eighth most popular name in 2013.
For boys, the most popular names after William were Mason, Elijah, James, Noah, Jacob, Liam, Ethan, Jackson and John. John is the only new addition to the boys' list, replacing Michael in the number 10 spot.
