BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Police have found a man who escaped from custody hiding in the woods behind his mother's home in Knox County.
Police told WKYT-TV (http://bit.ly/QLsBEv) that Daniel Patterson escaped Wednesday morning as Estill County deputies were escorting him to court for a hearing on a protection order filed by his estranged wife.
He was originally arrested for the June robbery of a Cash Express in Irvine.
Police believe that after his escape, Patterson stole a truck and then broke into his brother's house, stealing a gun and money. He is charged with escape, theft, burglary and unlawful firearms possession.
Patterson was arrested Friday night at about 7 p.m. He was being held in Knox County on a $740,000 bond.
Knox County jail officials had no record of an attorney.
