An ex-Glasgow police officer settles his lawsuit with the city. Larry Dale Martin is being awarded $2,500 in the settlement.
Glasgow PD had fired Martin in March of 2011, for allegedly hitting a prisoner in the Barren County Courthouse. Martin subsequently sued the city in state and federal court.
U.S. District Judge Thomas B. Russell dismissed both the federal and state lawsuits Martin had filed. But Martin could have appealed the state claims, so the city entered into this agreement to settle the case.
