WEST LIBERTY, Ky. (AP) — An FBI spokeswoman says the agency is investigating the top official in Morgan County.
Mary Trotman confirmed the investigation of Judge-Executive Tim Conley to media outlets on Wednesday after WYMT-TV reported his office in West Liberty was searched by federal agents on Tuesday. She declined to say what the investigation stems from.
Conley has become the public face of an effort to rebuild the community of West Liberty, which was devastated last year by a tornado and has received a large amount on recovery funds and donations.
Conley told media outlets that he hadn't met with an attorney and had no comment.
