BARDSTOWN, Ky. (AP) -- A central Kentucky family is starting a reward fund to help gather information about who killed a mother and daughter in April.
Stacy Hibbard told multiple media outlets that family members want to know why 48-year-old Kathy Netherland and her daughter, Samantha, were killed inside their home in the Botland community of Bardstown in April.
Hibbard says the slayings came two days after the mother and daughter picked out a prom dress.
Kentucky State Police have worked hundreds of leads with no arrest since the remains were found. Shortly after the deaths, Kentucky State Police released images of a black Chevy Impala, saying: find the car; catch the killer.
Hibbard says the car may be the key to solving the mystery.
