BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Family, friends and members of the Bowling Green community gathered Tuesday night to remember Warren County's first Family Court Judge Margaret Huddleston.
The family has had visitation for the past two days for their family member who succumbed to cancer on Friday.
Huddleston was the first woman ever to serve on the bench in Warren Circuit Court and she presided over Warren Family Court from 1998 until 2013.
A friend and former colleague says she was truly, a great woman.
"Whether it was in a professional capacity or a personal capacity, whether it was being a fantastic mother, a single mother for most of her son Ryan's life, she always did the job. She did it very well, and she did it with grace. I feel fortunate to have known her and I think Bowling Green, Warren County and the legal system is fortunate to have had her play such a significant part in all our lives," said friend and former colleague Slim Nash
Funeral Mass is at noon Wednesday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
