BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- When Coach Bobby Petrino left the Hilltoppers to go back to the University of Louisville, WKU fans were wondering who the next head football coach would be.
At a press conference Friday, offensive coordinator, Jeff Brohm, was introduced as the new head coach.
We spoke with fans who were shopping at the WKU Bookstore Saturday afternoon to get their reactions.
"I'm glad for Coach Brohm. It's his time. He's put in his time building up to this process, and I'm glad for him," said Dale Woosley, a Hilltoppers fan.
"I'm happy about him being the new coach. I think he'll be a great asset to the team, I'd like to see him stick around for a few years," said Kyle Woosley, a WKU graduate. "I think he's a very respectable person. I think the team will respect him. Like I said, I'd like to see a little bit of longevity, I think that's what the team needs to build upon."
Both say they feel optimistic about the next football season.
