Some baseball fans came out to Bowling Green Ballpark Sunday, but it wasn't to watch the Hot Rods in action.
Instead, they were watching this years Sun Belt Conference Championship game, which was being hosted by Western Kentucky University.
Eight teams competed in the baseball tournament this weekend, but in the end, the University of Louisiana Monroe faced off against Arkansas State University for the championship game.
Some of the people sitting in the stands were dads of players from both teams.
"I'm excited for him because he is a senior and he has really worked hard to get here and to play," says Eddie Clowers. His son, Caleb, is a second baseman for ULM.
"ASU played well of course to get here and I assume ULM has done as well, and we came out to watch a few other games and it's been exciting ball," says Greg Lee. His son, Jacob, is the starting pitcher for ASU.
The last time the Sun Belt Conference Tournament was held in Bowling Green was in 2008, but this was the first time the championship game was played at the Bowling Green Ball Park.
The University of Louisiana Monroe won the game.
