HART COUNTY, Ky. -- On Tuesday, Kentucky State Police troopers were dispatched to a home on Pleasant Hill Road in Hart County to investigate a possible fraudulent use of a credit card complaint.
Through the course of the investigation, they say it was determined that Justin Dupin, 27, of Upton was associated with a Nigerian scam that had started through a Craigslist ad.
KSP says Dupin was arrested and charged with fraudulent use of a credit card, theft of identity, as well as theft or receiving a stolen credit/debit card.
Dupin was lodged in the Hart County Jail later that day.
A search warrant was issued for the residence in which items were seized that is believed to be associated with the crime.
The investigation is ongoing.
