PADUCAH, Ky. (AP) -- The final two defendants charged in the death of a western Kentucky woman in 2010 have been sentenced to prison.
McCracken Circuit Court Judge Craig Clymer sentenced Jamie Taylor to life in prison on Friday and gave her daughter, Jasmine Taylor, an 18-year sentence. Jamie Taylor had pleaded guilty to murder and kidnapping charges while Jasmine Taylor entered an Alford plea to a manslaughter charge in the death of 21-year-old CaSondra Evrard.
Three others have pleaded guilty to various roles in connection to the death and been sentenced. Another defendant, Jamie Taylor's husband, Mark Taylor, went to trial and was convicted. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
