The Bowling Green Fire Department answered the call around 9:00 p.m. Monday, arriving to find the house already engulfed in flames.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- A small house on West Main Street is left burnt.

The Bowling Green Fire Department answered the call around 9:00 p.m. Monday, arriving to find the house already engulfed in flames. Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the blaze.

"Our investigators will work through it and we'll clean up what we've got and do some mopping up with some hose lines and we'll be done," said Greg Elrod, Assistant Chief of the Bowling Green Fire Department.

There was no one inside and officials believe the house was vacant. The cause of the fire is being investigated
