Firefighters Warning People Not To Burn Outside Saturday

WARREN CO., Ky. (WBKO) -- The windy, dry conditions in the area Saturday had firefighters busy with several reports of brush fires.

One on Plum Springs Road started before noon when the wind spread a fire burning in a burn barrel.

It ended up catching a barn on fire -- destroying it and everything inside.\

The Richardsville fire captain says houses nearby were in danger as the fire covered two acres.

Within two hours, three other departments helped get it contained before it cause any other damage.

Fire officials say at least six brush fires were in the area.

The Alvaton Fire Department says one burned up to 10 acres on Farley Lane.

Fire officials are encouraging you not to light any fires, as the weather conditions are too dangerous.
