Each year many people decide to put on a fireworks display of their own at home. Ordinances in place in Warren County and Bowling Green include rules about places and times you can set fireworks off. Firework stand operators know the local ordinances and say they do their best to educate their customers on the courtesy of the holiday.
"Some of our fireworks actually give off cardboard cartridges. We let our customers know that. If they do shoot those off and they blow over into the neighbors yard, they may want to go pick those up." said Jeff Christian of Thunderdome Fireworks.
The operators of Thunderdome Fireworks said many people are conscious of the type of area they live in, and buy fireworks that suit the density of homes around them.
