LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Assistant Commonwealth Attorney Tom Van De Rostyne says authorities are testing what they believe to be three pieces of flesh found after 18-year-old Andrew Compton disappeared in Louisville.
Van De Rostyne told The Courier-Journal a DNA profile of Compton was finished in December and tests are being done. Compton hasn't been seen since Oct. 28, 2010.
Gregory O'Bryan of Louisville has pleaded not guilty to murder and sodomy in Compton's disappearance. O'Bryan could face the death penalty if convicted.
The defense said in court Friday morning the prosecutor's information was the first they had heard of any flesh being found.
