Forest rangers in eastern Kentucky are battling blazes on more than one front.
WKYT-TV reports one fire in Menifee County consumed four acres, including two structures, near Cave Run Lake. Another fire in Bath County has burned up to 50 acres.
Forest ranger Terry Stamper says spring has been dry and windy with low humidity making it "good fire weather."
He says no homes have been threatened, and rangers plan to keep it that way.
He says rangers are establishing burn lines which will keep the blaze from spreading.
