As Louisville won the national title last night, those who knew former Bowling Green High School basketball star Chane Behanan were watching him fulfill his biggest goal.
When the sophomore forward chose to go to Louisville it was his dream to win a national title.
While at Bowling Green High School he was a McDonald's All-American, and scored more than 1,500 points during the two seasons he played.
His former high school coach knew he had great potential.
"He was a great player to coach obviously, the best player I've ever coached, just a nice guy. He is just one of those guys that you want to spend time with want to be around. He was fun in the locker room, fun in the gym to be around, a very deserving opportunity for him," says Bowling Green High School Head Boys Basketball Coach, D.G. Sherrill.
Coach Sherrill says it was always Behannan's goal to play at Louisville.
