CYNTHIANA, Ky. (AP) -- Kentucky State Police say a former central Kentucky youth minister has been indicted on sex-related charges involving two girls in his youth group.
Police say 25-year-old Brent M. Smith was indicted Tuesday in Harrison County on three counts of use of a minor younger than 16 in a sexual performance, two counts of use of a minor younger than 18 in a sexual performance, one count of third-degree rape, one count of third-degree sodomy and seven counts of first-degree sexual abuse.
Trooper David Jones said Wednesday that Smith no longer lives in Cynthiana and hasn't been arrested. Jones declined to say what church Smith was affiliated with but said the acts are alleged to have occurred while he was youth minister.
