Four Arrested in Lexington by Federal Agents

The arrests came after agents raided a house on Ellerslie Park Boulevard. A Subway restaurant on East Main Street was also raided. Four people were arrested at the home.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- Four people were arrested after federal agents raided a Lexington home and business. Lexington police were also involved.

Investigators say Amrutlal Patel and his wife are accused of employing undocumented Indian nationals.

They allegedly made their employees work long hours for little pay.

The couple owns four Subway restaurants.

The Patels have been charged with housing, transporting, and employing illegal aliens.

They were arrested on Tuesday after Federal Investigators searched their home.

The arrests came after agents raided a house on Ellerslie Park Boulevard. A Subway restaurant on East Main Street was also raided. Four people were arrested at the home.

Amrutlal Patel, Dakshaben Patel, Rakesh Patel and Sushilaben Patel were booked at the Fayette County jail.
