Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway says he and 19 other Attorneys Generals plus a City Attorney have reached a settlement with the company that makes the alcoholic drink Four Loko.
The settlement resolves allegations that Four Loko promoted the drink to minors, encouraged consumers to drink excessive and dangerous amounts, and failed to disclose the dangers of drinking alcohol combined with caffeine.
It also addresses the claim that the company made, marketed, and sold an unsafe product.
Kentucky will get more than $14,000 from the settlement.
Conway says the settlement will keep the drink off the shelves and protect consumers, especially minors.
